Cabinetmaker - Entry

As a cabinetmaker and business owner, Will is responsible for meeting with clients and educating them on materials and design choices. He takes measurements and create kitchen layouts and builds cabinets, counters and more to specific measurements. He delivers and installs the products at the client's location and makes adjustments as needed.

Paver - Entry

Uses specialized machines to spread asphalt over a surface. Their duties involve working on roads or highways during initial construction or resurfacing projects. Pavers must be able to operate equipment and adequately mix and spread materials so the road surface is level and of the proper consistency. They inspect the prepared area before beginning paving, and must be able to maintain correct speed and move the paving machine in a straight line so as to not waste materials during paving.

Cementer - Experienced

The cementer polishes concrete slabs. They prepare, place and repair concrete on various surfaces after finally finishing the concrete. The cementer may also perform other tasks related to the trade being done.

Swamper - Entry

A swamper or known as a "tower crane signaller" selects equipment such as slings, shackles, and chains, according to load weights and sizes. Ensures safe slinging of loads. Signals to crane operators to move equipment safely. Maintain a safe perimeter when moving loads. Performs tasks such as picking up materials to ensure a safe work area. The Crane Signaller may be called upon to perform other related tasks.

Carpenter - Intermediate

The carpenter foreman works in close collaboration with the site superintendent. He participates in the smooth running of the construction of the project and ensures that he manages/coaches the workers on a daily basis. He actively participates in the construction of the project.

Concrete Repair Labourer Supervisor - Experienced

The concrete repair labourer takes care of making repairs after pouring to deficiencies. He ensures that the product delivered to the customer is impeccable and meets expectations.

Cementer - Experienced

A cementer (or cement worker) polishes concrete slabs, they also prepare, place and repairs concrete on various surfaces. They finish the concrete and participates in concrete pours. The cement worker is also inclined to do other tasks related to the trade.

They install footbridges, installs anchors, stops slabs and installs casting joints and participate in concrete pours. The carpenter may be required to do any other task related to the trade.

Taper - Experienced

Labourer - Intermediate

The labourer removes formwork from concrete structures. Participates in concrete pours. Participates in loading and unloading construction materials. May signal the crane. May operate a forklift. Labourers may be called upon to perform other related tasks.

Tower Crane Operator - Experienced

A crane operator plays a very important role in the smooth running of the construction site. They move and lifts loads, equipment and materials using the crane according to the instructions given on site. This person carries out inspections prior to carrying out the work and calculates the capacity of the cranes and the weight in preparation for coupling and lifting. The crane operator carries out routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes.

Thermal Insulator - Entry

A thermal insulator measures and cuts insulating to be installed and applies, installs, repairs and maintains insulating material. They also install fire stopping, metal and plastic finishes.

Glazing Shop Foreman - Intermediate

A glazier foreman oversees all shop fabrication of aluminum windows and curtainwall in the factory. They oversee and manage staff to fabricate drawings from a CAD department. Surveyor - Intermediate

It provides data relating to the alignment, altitude, orientation and size of different lands or types of infrastructure (industrial or commercial building). They classify and update information related to the position. They collaborate with the foremen and superintendents to optimize operations. They are responsible for leveling different types of slab (flat, sloping) and determines and marks the concrete pour elevations.

They follow quality standards and ensure the safety and security of the construction site. A construction superintendent also communicates and negotiates with external partners, such as vendors and clients.
